LILI CLAIRE KIDS

Lili Claire Kids was formed with two goals in mind: to increase the sensitivity of kids to other kids who have special needs, and allow kids to play a role in raising money to help the Foundation to provide hope, answers and help for special needs children and their families.

Help raise money for The Lili Claire Foundation
You can help to make a difference in the lives of special needs children by raising money to support the programs and services the Foundation provides to these special children and their families, all free of charge!

Fundraising ideas

Some great fundraising ideas include:
  • bake sale
  • donut sale
  • lemonade stand
  • collecting change in the classrooms
  • recycling drive – plastic bottles and aluminum cans, newspapers
  • local restaurants: many will donate a percentage of the money brought in by a local group on a particular day. Check with your favorite restaurants: IHOP, California Pizza Kitchen, Ruby’s Diner, etc.

Get creative! If you are interested in planning your own fundraiser, please contact staff@liliclairefoundation.org for more information about the Foundation, as well as guidelines for fundraising activities. Please note you will need parental consent to hold a fundraiser. (click here for consent form)
  • Help to make a change
Another way you can help special needs kids is by helping to change the way we use the word “retarded.” “Retarded” is a perfectly good word when it is used accurately to describe a medical condition that refers to people with developmental delay, mental retardation, and special needs and neurogenetic conditions. But when it is used as an insult or negatively, it can be very hurtful. People with mental retardation are not stupid; they understand perfectly well that people are making fun of them.
